Engine machinist

Engine grinding and reconditioning. Accommodation and meals provided, contract of at least 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Grinding and reconditioning engines
• Grinding crankshafts
• Boring and honing engine blocks
• Skimming and reconditioning cylinder heads
• Checking wear and defects on components
• Precise measurement with micrometer and dial gauge
• Operating grinding, boring, honing and skimming machines

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in engine grinding
• Hands-on experience in engine grinding and reconditioning
• Experience grinding crankshafts
• Experience boring and honing engine blocks
• Experience skimming and reconditioning cylinder heads
• Checking wear and defects on engine components
• Precise measurement with micrometer, dial gauge and other instruments
• Operating grinding, boring, honing and skimming machines
• Knowledge of tolerances and assembly clearances
• Reading technical specifications and manufacturer catalogues
• Attention to detail and precise work
• Mandatory availability for at least 24 months
