The employer is not looking for someone who only reads and clears fault codes. They want an electrician who follows the circuit on the diagram, measures, and establishes the cause before replacing any component.

Selection is based on real experience, not on what a CV claims.

Responsibilities

Reading and interpreting automotive wiring diagrams
Following circuits on the diagram and taking measurements
Finding open circuits, short circuits and parasitic draw
Checking supplies, earths and signals
Diagnosing sensors, actuators, relays, fuses and wiring
Diagnosing control modules and electronic systems
Establishing the real cause before replacing components

Requirements

At least 5 years of hands-on experience in automotive electrics and electronics
Reading and interpreting automotive wiring diagrams
Following electrical circuits on the diagram
Measurements with a multimeter and dedicated instruments
Finding open circuits, short circuits and parasitic draw
Checking supplies, earths and signals
Diagnosing sensors, actuators, relays, fuses and wiring
Diagnosing the vehicle control modules and electronic systems
Establishing the real cause before replacing components
Professional use of diagnostic testers
Able to work independently, without constant supervision

Mandatory practical testFinal acceptance follows an interview and a practical test. Experience stated in a CV is not treated as sufficient proof of skill.At preselection we will ask: where you worked and for how long, which repairs you carry out on your own, which diagnostic equipment you use and whether you can read technical diagrams.
